White metal little changed on global cues

Silver futures were little changed during evening trade in the domestic market on Thursday as investors and speculators remained on the sidelines in the precious metal as caution prevailed ahead of a meeting between the US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Furthermore, the prices of silver metal declined after physical demand for the precious metal faded in the domestic spot market. At the MCX, silver futures for May 2017 contract is trading at Rs 42246 per kg, down by 0.03 per cent, after opening at Rs 42331, against a previous close of Rs 42258. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 42235 (at 16:07 hours).
